I love the vivid colors of the sea anemones growing out of the figure, they almost look like feathered wings. Or perhaps she is slowly drowning, and the anemones have moved in like moss covering a statue. The pose has a melancholy sort of feel to it - curled inward, facing away - but the overall painting has a lot of energy to it. While she may be down, she's not out. The bright colors, the warmth in the skin, the subtle movement in the delicate anemones, the electric blue of the sky above the water - she's not defeated, I think she's just taking a quick breather.
